Once You're There

We’re excited to share a few of our favorite places in the area with you

Thun city town

Start the day with a walk through Thun’s old town. A little later, pay a visit to Thun Castle, which is located high above the city. Alternatively, enjoy the idyllic Schadaupark, built in the style of an English garden. A stop at the Aare will make you feel a bit like you’re in Venice. That’s because Thun is known for its many bridges. There is even more Mediterranean ambience on the shores of Lake Thun.

Schadau Park

The Schadau Park is a local recreation area, designed as an English garden. Near the lake by the Aare you can enjoy the most beautiful panorama of the Mountains Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. Explore part of the unique castle and enjoy a coffee or tea like royalty.

Thun Castle

Thun Castle towers high above the rooftops of the town and dominates the view of the old town even from a distance.

During a visit, you can explore historic rooms, gain fascinating insights into the past and experience the castle’s unique atmosphere.

Admission to the museum castle is normally CHF 10 for adults, CHF 8 for concessions and CHF 3 for children aged 6 to 16.
